Ed Murnane - Managing Director

Edward Murnane graduated from UL in 1994(B.Eng), and UCC in 1995(H.Dip Eng). He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) accredited to the International Project Management Institute, a member of Engineers Ireland and has completed a broad range of energy related training including the Green Belt Lean Six Sigma as applied to Energy Management and the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) course which is accredited to the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).

He founded the Procad Group in Limerick in 1996 and EnergyPoint Consulting was launched in 2011 as a specialist energy services division operating within the Procad Group. Over the past sixteen years he has achieved both strategic & operational development of Procad Group whilst developing an innovative & professional team as well as a broad satisfied client base. He has worked on a broad range of projects for clients in the Industrial (Indigenous & Multinational), Commercial and Public Sectors. His main areas of expertise are in client & project management, project feasibility & strategy and Energy Management Systems (EnMS).

Kevin Frost - Director

Kevin Frost has considerable industry experience and has worked with Procad Group / EnergyPoint for the past twelve years. He is the director of the Mechanical & Electrical (Building Services) department and has worked on a broad range of projects in the industrial, commercial & public sectors over this time.

Kevin has completed a broad range of energy related training including the Green Belt Lean Six Sigma as applied to Energy Management and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accredited to the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in the US.

Kevin’s areas of expertise include Monitoring & Targeting (M&T), Energy Efficient Design (EED) Methodology, Building Management Systems (BMS), Lighting, Solar & Heat Pumps. Kevin has completed feasibility studies on a range of energy projects for clients and has overseen the design & implementation of many of these projects.

Niall Ahern – Senior Energy Engineer

Niall Ahern graduated from Cork Institute of Technology and the University of Northumbria in Newcastle with an honors degree in Building Services Engineering. Niall has completed a broad range of energy related training including the Green Belt Lean Six Sigma as applied to Energy Management and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accredited to the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in the US.

Niall has over eight years experience and has worked as lead design engineer on a range of energy projects, primarily in the Industrial & Commercial sectors. His areas of expertise including Waste Heat Recovery, Steam Systems, Biomass District Heating Systems, and Chiller & Refrigeration Systems. Niall also has considerable experience of carrying out Site Energy Audits and Profiling.

Pádraig McNamara – Senior Energy Engineer

Padraig McNamara graduated from the Cork Institute of Technology with a degree in Process Plant Technology and worked with a large Mechanical Contractor before joining Procad in 2008. Padraig has completed a broad range of energy related training including the Green Belt Lean Six Sigma as applied to Energy Management and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accredited to the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in the US.

Pádraig has worked as a design engineer on a range of projects in the industrial, commercial, education & leisure sectors and has significant experience in the coordination of projects on site.

Pádraig works in the area of utility systems optimisation and his areas of expertise are in Steam & Hot Water Systems, HVAC Systems and Chilled Water.
