Course Overview

Recent findings from an SEAI special working group report on a number of HVAC systems on Industrial sites found that on average,  €147k of energy savings potential exists in HVAC systems. Furthermore, it found that potential exists to optimise HVAC even in facilities mature in the area of energy management.

Opportunities for improvement exist in various areas of HVAC systems, ranging from controls and management, to the operating philosophy behind the HVAC system

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) can account for as much as 80% of a site's total energy budget.

Opportunities to ensure energy-efficient HVAC arise at the design, operation and maintenance stages of a system's lifecycle.

This training course provides delegates with an in-depth understanding of the key aspects of Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) System operation and maintenance.  The course recognises the current drive towards energy savings / carbon emission reduction and provides useful information on how the energy usage of Industrial HVAC Systems can be correctly assessed and subsequently reduced by changing the operating philosophy (based on risk assessments) and making suitable modifications. This will be reinforced with the use of real-life examples.
